SEARCH MEMORIAL INFORMATION
- Strict observance of appropriate conduct in the Cemetery is required and courtesy to other grave sites and mourners must be displayed at all times.
- Cemetery is open for visitation from sunrise to sunset.
- Vehicles are allowed only on the designated driveways through the Cemetery and the speed limit shall not exceed 10 MPH.
- NO vehicles or equipment are allowed to be parked overnight on cemetery property unless there for cemetery work/business.
- Person(s) who cause damage to the Cemetery grounds or grave sites within will be held accountable – this will be enforced to the fullest extent possible.
- No alcoholic beverages or use of narcotics is permitted within the Cemetery.
- The Cemetery or its employees shall not be liable for the theft of items, injuries to persons or property which occur on the Cemetery premises regardless of cause.
- The placing of urns, benches, and shepherd’s hooks shall only be permitted when placed IN LINE with the existing row of monuments and are not encroaching on another lot.
- The planting of trees or shrubs on any burial space or upon cemetery property is strictly forbidden without the consent of the Cemetery Sexton or Cemetery Grounds Keeper.
- Artificial flowers or memorials MUST be placed in urns and properly secured. All artificial pieces MUST be removed by Labor Day. Winter decorations such as wreaths and grave blankets are permitted between November 1 and MUST be removed by April 1. Failure to comply will result in complete removal by the Grounds Keeper.
- The placing of fencing, landscape ties, curbing, enclosures of any kind, stone chips or wood mulch, wires, electrical devices or solar lights is not allowed on or around any grave or headstone. Above said items will be removed and disposed of upon discovery.
- The Cemetery reserves the right to remove all flowers, potted plants, summer wreaths or baskets of flowers when they become withered, weathered, or for any other reason. The Sexton or Grounds Keeper is permitted to make such removals when in his/her judgement to be in the best interest of the cemetery.
- Grave memorials shall not exceed the size of the plot and shall be made of manufactured headstone material.
- No foundations for monuments shall be poured, constructed, or placed by anyone other than the Cemetery Sexton.
- Up to four(4) cremations are permitted in one(1) grave. Cremation burial is permitted on top of an existing burial. Scattering of cremains is not permitted on cemetery property.
- Special cases may arise in which the literal enforcement of a rule may cause unnecessary hardship. The Cemetery therefore, reserves the right in such cases to make exceptions, suspensions, or modifications to any of these Cemetery Rules and Regulations without notice, when in the judgement of the Cemetery such action appears necessary. Such exceptions, suspensions, or modifications shall be in no way construed as affecting the general application of the Cemetery Rules and Regulations placed in effect by the Richland Township Board.
- The Cemetery reserves the right to adopt additional Cemetery Rules and Regulations or to amend, alter, or repeal any rule at any time. The only notice thereof which needs to be given shall be by posting such changes at the Cemetery grounds.
- The Cemetery is hereby empowered to enforce all Cemetery Rules and Regulations as written.
